a big NO.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

This is a difficult one. Most people from India seem to get rejected for a visitor visa when an immigrant visa is pending. The basis is that you are unable to prove strong ties and reason to come back to India. However, if you are able to prove that, there is no harm trying at all. It should not affect your immigrant visa petition regardless of the decision made by the consular officer.

The basis is that you are unable to prove strong ties and reason to come back to India. However, if you are able to prove that, there is no harm trying at all. It should not affect your immigrant visa petition regardless of the decision made by the consular officer.

Surely, it won't affect her immigrant visa petition, but her tourist visa application will likely be denied because the Embassy will be affected by the fact she will have her immigrant visa interview soon. So there is no point for wasting time.

Since you already have your CR-1 on the system, which by itself means you are going to Migrate to the US. The consular might perceive it as trying to Jump in front of the line, and you might stay which doesn't make sense Who would want to jeopardize their green card to stay here illegaly. But it's your call, Good luck

No, the worst could happen is that she gets the visa and is denied entry to US at the US airport.
