I was 17 and knocked up, and the thought of murdering the baby inside never crossed my mind. It was a mistake I allowed to happen, so I did what was right and did the best I could.

And I applaud you for that. I have libterian leanings. Just like if you kill someone knowing there is a death penalty, it's a choice you made

I hear ya. But how do you justify a woman murdering an infant just because "oops, I made a mistake, I didn't mean to get pregnant"?

I think there are valid times when abortion is called for. But as a form of contraception, not so much. There are better alternatives for unwanted children, such as adoption. Which shouldn't cost a desiring parent-to-be an arm and a leg, by the way.

That's exactly my problem with it. As I have said in the past - I believe a woman should be able to do whatever she wants with her body - up until the 20th week. After that, we're talking murder, plain and simple. No difference, no difference, with persecuting casey anthony for allegedly killing her child and somebody having an abortion after the 20th week. I don't see how some people can be ok with that kind of murder but be all up in arms about it happening after birth. Birth is not where life is created.

I don't think abortions should be used as a form of birth control. Rape or incest ok, if you took precautions and tried to do everything right and still got pregnant(which unfortunately does happen) that's an exception too, but even still you shouldn't need more than 5 months to make that decision. 'oops I made a mistake' well sucks to be you and next time don't be so stupid. Obviously, there's not really going to be a way to prove things one way or the other so fine, not illegal for the first 20 weeks(taxpayers shouldn't pay for it though). BANNED after 20 weeks, unless the mother's health is in jeopardy.

I agree with you however if you were 16 and knocked up you may feel diffrent.it's not my choice to make for others

OK. So it's not our choice to make for others if they feel like murdering a family member, either, then.

Using the "N" word now? LOL

You got the point. As you always say - when you resort to insults and name calling you've already lost

That's actually very true

Um, you do realize I'm talking about someone that used to be here right?

I shouldn't have name dropped him, but he's been gone for a while now so either way...

I want to be clear on this... are you saying you are ok with abortion, as a means of birth control, for women, that it should be their choice?

I'm saying that it should be a choice, not a means of birth control.

You asked me in another thread if I was a Muslim, why were you asking that question?

Glad we have a person like you with no bias in her heart

Same reason I asked you. We wonder if you gave up Islam with the recent change in your life.

What would we do without her huh?

She's the sole reason this forum is only 99.9% bigoted towards others and not 100%.

So where do you draw the line between "choice" and "birth control"?

Your stance seems to be more than just tolerant of the religion, in fact you seem pretty defensive about it, so I was just curious.

We should give free access to birth control. Really, we should. Starting at high school. It would really curb this problem.

2, when you have a group who doesn't care if it was rape, medical issues, incest or a 10 year old girl raped by her stepfather who needs an abortion, that's a problem.

If the heart beats, it's a human. That's my stance. To me one month should be permissible, anything else should be a negative. However, sometimes, even one month isn't enough to tell if you have an ectopic pregnancy.

BTW, this is me talking, not Marv. Just giving my side to this.

You are a woman?

I thought I was the only one thinking this.

None. If you were being oppressed, I'd be right there fighting for you, just not on the weekends and anytime after 1530.

I reverted about 6 months after she left.

No line. Two completely different things IMO. If a woman was raped or she got pregnant and decides to terminate the pregnancy for whatever reason, it's her decision to do so.

I'm defensive because being a Muslim at one point in my life has taught me the hateful things that get posted or said aren't true. And even if I wasn't one, I'd still defend them since generalization of an entire group of people isn't a good idea.

You're implying who?

Because we aren't the ones posting one-sided arguments everyday.

Nope, definitely not you. Never you.
