Hey All,

FINALLY! I can now participate in this forum...I was hoping to get a bit of help from you all. I received Packet 3 today, and from what my letter says..I only need to send the one form (DS-230I) - FYI: My consulate is in Sydney, Australia.

Firstly, I received a notice with the package saying that "As of November 1, 2006 everyone who applies for a non-immigrant visa to the US (including fiance visas) must use the Electronic Visa Application Form (EVAF). All U.S visa-issuing offices in Australia will no longer accept handwritten forms or any other form that hasn't been filled out using the U.S Dept of State's online system....etc etc " then it tells me to go to http://evisaforms.state.gov/

so here's my question: I went onto the site, and the only downloadable forms are :

DS-156: Nonimmigrant Visa Application

DS-1648: Application for A, G, or NATO Visa (For Applicants Applying in the U.S. Only)

so...do I fill out the DS-230I that they sent to me in the mail (ie: that would be handwritten) ...I am confused, as in the letter they say all forms must be filled in online and then printed out..but DS-230I doesn't feature on this website?

I am very confused!! Secondly, on the DS-230I form, it asks to list the dates of all previous visits to the U.S- I have been to the U.S 7 times in the past 4 years, but they only give us 3 lines to write the dates on? What do you suggest?

Thanks all!!!

Kath&Rob,

I dare to make an assumption that you might have answered the OP's questions, but what benefit it is to us who are participating in this forum when the information is loss in PM universe. Just my thought on posting and answering public question via PM. I wished you could have done it differently. Share the knowledge, what if your answer was incorrect that would be a disservice to OP, wouldn't it?

Just my thought!

Hey, tamzo :)

Congratulations on NOA2 and packet3!!! Feels great, doesnt' it?

DS 156 - that's the one you fill in online. You can't save it. Fill it in and print 2 copies. For earlier visits, they do have additional page, so it will print page 3 for you.

DS 230I - you got that form from them, you can fill it in by hand. I did and they sent me interview date after that, didnt' say anything about DS 230I having to be printed. But you return DS 230 AND that other page signed that you have all the docs for the interview. Add a separate page for earlier visits if you need. I only had 4 visits, last 3 were all to SF, all were on VWP so I just wrote: Feb- Mar, Apr and Dec 2006, SF, VWP. But, since you've got seven, you lucky :) - a separate sheet might be neater.

PM me if you need anything else. I've just put my interview package together for next Monday, but will go to our Aussie thread to ask some last details re payment etc.

Good luck!

xoxo

Chuck,

I have to "defend" kath here :)

She probably posted only a real quick reply so that tamzo knows the help was coming. And I knew abt tamzo's question because kath posted the link in Aussie thread since she didn't go through K-1 and didn't have personal experience to share on this particular issue.

But, trust me: kath is a wealth of knowledge and so generous in sharing useful info and linking people to where help can be found in (rare) case she doesn't know it herself.

Kath - you go girl!!! Thanks for all your help :)

xoxo
