Hi everyone! I filed for my parents petiton last month and while waiting for my approval i just wanna make sure what form do we need ti fill up on affidavit of support. Since iam unemployed since i came here in the US, so i need to have a co sponsor right? And my husband and I are filing married jointly on our income tax return.

Do we both need ti fill up the form I-864 one for me and one for my husband?

How about the I-864A?

Thank you for your answers!

Is your husband's income high enough to sponsor your parents? http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-864p.pdf

If it's high enough, you will just need to complete an I-864 and your husband will complete an I-864A.

If his income is not enough, then you'll also need a joint sponsor to complete an I-864.
