My beloved husband passed away almost 2 months back. I feel so lost and lonely without him. Every day is a struggle to get over with the loss and to just move on in life. I came to the US in Aug 2014 on a CR1 visa and upon reaching here was granted the 2 year green card. My green card expires in Aug 2016

I understand that i need not wait till May 2016 to apply for my ROC and I can apply now itself?

My husband was a taxi driver and he didnt want me to work so I have not worked to this date since my arrival here.I was dependent on him. I am not sure what evidences i need to provide.I was a housewife and he used to give me cash to buy groceries. we did open a joint account just before he passed away, but account hasnt been used yet. He filed a joint tax return last time. And he had a small life insurance which was in his sister's name, he was planning to change it but before that passed away suddenly.we dont have any kids and he was never into taking pictures so i only have our wedding pictures and few pics that i have of us.Electricity bill has both our names on it which he changed few months back. So I am not really sure how to prove. Can we request for interview to explain all this? Or do they reject on the basis of not enough documents?

i am now looking for job and hopefully i get one soon by God's grace.

Thank you for help

The will comes to mind.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Welcome to the forum.

So sorry to hear of your recent loss. Please take some time to review the Form I-751 instructions, and note the instructions regarding applying for a waiver and the waiver requirements: http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-751instr.pdf Be sure to include any and all "marriage bonafides" evidence that you have. An explanatory cover letter with your application, may be of help in this special circumstance.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)
