Nothing you can say or argue is going to be correct in this matter and I don't care how you perceive my attitude either.

So, how does one get appointed arbiter of what is "correct"?

Because Rob or007 is misguided.

 Not really. Just because I disagree with you (and some others here) does not make me misguided. Perhaps in the minority but there are a lot of cat owners who declaw their cats. I disagree with a 'pet' cat being outdoors (reasons already listed) but a lot of people do it. That doesn't make my thinking right - it's just my opinion.

We use http://www.worldsbestcatlitter.com/ Great stuff, is flushable, yet it is natural (no chemicals) so it is safe for ur cat! Some flushable cat litter isnt that healthy for the cat. Can be found at most pet store (petco, petsmart, etc)

How is that stuff on tracking? Since I got my place tiled I've really started to notice the little pieces of litter. I got one of those mats to put outside the pan and it helps but doesn't eliminate it - especially right around the box (of course).

There is a bit of dust, but not too bad. I have used other brands in the past and I find this one the best so far. As well we have a rubber mat just outside the box, so that collects the litter. I used it at our old aprt. and here at our new place with success (not clogging drains , etc)

As well if you are switching litter types (brands) ensure you do it slowly (mixing the new with old) Soem cats do not like change.

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

good point. so you throw it away?

Yes - and a word of advice... Make sure you check the bag you're pouring the used cat litter into *before* you do it. Even small leaks will make a big mess. ;):P I normally scoop into a double bagged grocery bag. Eventually the litter gets old (spent) and I pour it into an empty litter container (I save them in the garage).

I would actually prefer to clean out 10 horse stalls than 1 cat box.

LOL my mom said EXACTLY that to me about 2 hours ago. Weirded out. Well, I'm not exactly looking forward to doing it, but I will definitely do it in the next few hours. She is such a good kitty! I think I want to name her after a pirate since she loves to perch on my shoulder. Considering Irish pirate Grace O'Malley and English pirate Anne Bonny. I've given myself a naming deadline of noon tomorrow. Can't keep calling her "cat"

@ Charles thanks for the cupcake

LOL Little Puck used to do that as well until he and his claws got a little bigger :P

I like the pirate name idea.

Awww I so want another kitty right now. I'll have to see if I can get D to agree to adopt another!

Congrats again, new kitty mommy :D

I've had cats run up my legs whilst kittens....with claws full out. Little buggars, but I loved 'em anyway.

I even named one Arnie, cos he kept "Terminating" the skin on my legs!

Oi! It's not too bad when they're still tiny. Puck was just learning how to climb I think and he'd do that all the time when I was working at the kitchen counter.

This one time, D had the laser pointer aimed right at my ####### while I was doing the dishes and WHAM! Cat hanging down my back pockets.

Did you see the guy who tried to catch a cat with one of those 'noose sticks' and had him wrap around his leg and get wound up? The guy was so calm then the cat tried to get away and his screams... Ouch! :help:

Ok, j/k j/k!!! Actually, I would love to have a kitty, but all 3 of us are allergic, so guess *that's* not happenin! I haven't seen Craig around a kitty, but for Corey and I, we get all itchy watery eyes right away, and after about an hour breathing raspy, etc.... Ah well. :(
