Walk with the angels

let them keep you safe

we'll join you one day

in that wonderful place

stand on the clouds and never forget

we're holding on to you

in our memories and thoughts

until one day we'll meet again

Truly missed but never forgotten:

We use http://www.worldsbestcatlitter.com/ Great stuff, is flushable, yet it is natural (no chemicals) so it is safe for ur cat! Some flushable cat litter isnt that healthy for the cat. Can be found at most pet store (petco, petsmart, etc)

cat litter is flushable? what are you supposed to do with it? I would go look at the box but there is a cat asleep in my lap (L)

perhaps with a regular city sewer but i doubt it works in a septic tank. i'd certainly not try it. and be careful if you do use it, it might make you liable if it does not work as advertised.

Some cat litter is flushable down the toilet, some isn't. Worlds best is flushable. Its made from corn. We have it for our 2 cats, and works great. It is a tad more expensive than others, but it does last a longer.

Is it safe?

Yes. It is safe for you, your cats and the environment. It can be used by cats and kittens without worry of ingestion, dust or allergy problems. WORLD’S BEST CAT LITTER™ is 99% dust free, containing no clays, silica, synthetic binding or dust reducing agents found in other litters.

Veterinarians and breeders have known for years that the silica dust prevalent in clay-based conventional and clumping litters may cause respiratory problems in both cats and their owners. Over time silica dust, when inhaled can accumulate in the alveoli and air sacs of the lungs. With WORLD’S BEST CAT LITTER™ there is no need to worry about a cat or its owner inhaling problematic dust.

Because WORLD’S BEST CAT LITTER™ is made from all natural corn it is earth-friendly and biodegradable. It is also flushable* and septic safe.

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Yup, not all cat litter is flushable. Most is now clumpable, though, so scoop all the waste into a bag and throw it away. For me, cleaning the litter box is actually the worst thing about owning a cat! I would actually prefer to clean out 10 horse stalls than 1 cat box. But I have found that Tidy Cat Quick Sifting Litter Bags (sometimes found in PetSmart or here on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Tidy-Cats-Quick-Sift.../dp/B0009YUEIA) make the job a LOT easier, certainly less gross, and seems to preserve the litter longer.

All the kitten photos are adorable, thanks for sharing! Makes me want to just run right out to the Arlington Shelter and cuddle the nearest one!

Keep in mind one has to clean the cat litter fairly often, at east once a day. Some cats won't use a dirty cat box, some do not care, lol

Good point. I used to get away with once ever 2 days with Jenny. But she was probably the least picky cat we have ever had.

LOL my mom said EXACTLY that to me about 2 hours ago. Weirded out. Well, I'm not exactly looking forward to doing it, but I will definitely do it in the next few hours. She is such a good kitty! I think I want to name her after a pirate since she loves to perch on my shoulder. Considering Irish pirate Grace O'Malley and English pirate Anne Bonny. I've given myself a naming deadline of noon tomorrow. Can't keep calling her "cat"

@ Charles thanks for the cupcake

That sounds just like Nature's Miracle. NM also makes a litter extender powder which leaves it even cleaner for kitty each time. It costs more, but the cost is balanced out by how long it lasts and it's all natural so no nasty chemicals. I scoop out daily without fail and change the litter every 4 weeks. We throw it on the compost heap as it decomposes easily. She announces it's ready to be cleaned once she's filled it. She loves to watch it being flushed down the loo.

For me it has to do with how close you come to it all. Cleaning a stall, you are at the end of a nice long pitchfork. Whereas with a litter box, you are only at the end of a 6 inch scooper. Of course, I have never almost impaled a rat scooping out the litter, so I guess it all balances out! Not enjoyable, but definitely worth it.

My vote is for Grace O'Malley. Read a book on her by Morgan Llywelyn and loved it.
