Denver has taken in many Somali refugee's too. Several have job's at the hospital where I work. My encounters with them have all been cordial. However I would not make a broad generalization of the Somali people based on my limited encounters.

No terrorists attacks so far though.

Minnesota has the biggest somali comunity here, yes there are problems with them assimilating.

More than 100,000 Somalis have been brought to the United States legally since 1991 through the U.N. refugee resettlement program. Close to half of them have been resettled in Minnesota, with the rest dispersed throughout Ohio, Maine, California, Texas, Idaho, Tennessee, Colorado, Georgia and several other states.

The Somali community in Minnesota has had well-documented problems assimilating, running up a troubling record of crime and radicalization. Scores of Somalis have been arrested and charged with providing material support to overseas terrorist organizations such as al-Shabab, al-Qaida and ISIS.

Others have left the country to fight for al-Shabab and ISIS, including six from Minnesota last month who were arrested after making repeated attempts to leave the country to join ISIS. That prompted the U.S. attorney for Minnesota, Andrew Luger, to admit in a April 20 press conference that "we have a terror recruitment problem in Minnesota."

OK so how much should they allocate from the budget to fix the imaginary Somali terrorist threat in Minnisota?

My vote is for something close to $0. If you think more is appropriate that's fine, but then you probably can't complain about your tax dollars being wasted.

As far as them not assimilating, doesn't bother me. I don't want people telling me how to live my life. I'm not going to tell them either.

I don't know how much money are being spent on counter terrorism.. You have to ask FBI, NSA... whatever govt agencies. That's where my federal taxes go.

If these people can't be bother to assimilate (not telling them to totally abandon their own culture and take in a brand new American life) with local community, why should my tax dollars being wasted to bring them here, house them, clothe them, free education, free medical care huh?

I don't see assimilate as deMuslimize. They still wear their hijab, burka, niqab.

I see 'assimilation' as taking in and understanding the local host culture, abide the local host rules and laws.

The state should spending $2.5 million on immigrants like me who are very willingly to assimilate (I assimilate, but I don't dress like Miley Cyrus).

I want free stuff too.

Because I am so tired and sick of working so hard daily, have been sick for 2 weeks but still going to office to work my ### off.

Just politics. Chris Christie says he wouldn't even let a 5 year old in. No one is tougher on terror than Chris!
