Probably the biggest issue is that they drive on the wrong side of the road in the US, I took my Nike test sometime after my Car test so was in a better position, no reference points on a bike.

I do remember it causing an issue on the multiple guess questions, got my lefts and rights the wrong way around.

Can't believe the driving test is like a five minute drive around the block?!?!?! It's a joke compared to the one hour driving tests most European countries do, not to mention the "ice road driving" test we have to do in Scandinavia and the "driving in darkness" test. If that's how a driving test is, they should just allow European licenses to be swapped for an American one, would save a lot of time for everyone.

As some other posters, I'm also worried about any potential non-metric questions on the written exam. Do they have those types of questions, like if you drive 50mph and your car weighs XX and you have to break, how far will the car continue until it comes to a complete stop?

Ok so I passed my CA driving test yesterday

Drove round the block twice, reversed down a street for about 10ft, didn't kill anyone................passed

Yes its that easy, and I'm a Brit used to driving on the CORRECT side of the road and the CORRECT side of the car lol

The UK driving test is very hard and very strict. I'm sure if I took it again now I'd fail. So the real joke is that in Massachusetts they wouldn't accept me passing the UK test as proof that I could drive but gave me a MA license on the strength of me being able to drive round the block! It's crazy!

You were unlucky. I only had to back up 5ft!

I've got so used to driving on the wrong side of the road that when I go back to the other side of the Atlantic it takes a while to get used to doing it the correct way.

Same here, don't think I would stand a chance of passing the UK test now
