I lost my job in the US in September, right before leaving to visit my wife in Honduras for a few weeks. Found out shortly after returning to the US that she is pregnant.

A few weeks ago, I got a job as a Department of Defense contractor that may or may not be temporary at a small US military base in Curacao (an island in the south Caribbean). We recently got a notice dated 11/3/2015 that our I130 petition has been approved. If this job turns out to just be temporary for a few months, I would like to go to Honduras when it ends and live with her to wait for the baby to be born. I want to do this for two reasons:

1) To be with my wife.

2) To avoid astronomical US medical bills if the baby is born in the US and we can't obtain good medical coverage.

Does anyone know if this is possible? Can the immigration process be put on hold while we wait for the baby to be born? I somehow imagine Immigration saying “we don't care about your medical bills.” Also, if we can do this, can anyone tell me the process for adding the newly born baby to our petition?

One last question, we also got a notice dated 11/3/2015 that our I129F Petition for Fiance(e) had been approved. I assume this is because you use the I129F forms to apply for the K-3 and it doesn't mean anything different from the notification about the I130 petition we received, right?

US is a nice country, if you come back and don't have a job your wife and baby and you in fact will get free medical and 100% of the bills will be covered. Plus you'll have the best care and won't have to worry about baby's paperwork.

How would 100% of the bills be covered?

i'm not so much concerned with the question of getting insurance in the US. i'm more curious about how we could delay the immigration process at this point (after having our I-130 petition approved) so that we can live together in honduras until the summer of 2016, then bring the baby to the US with us. does anyone know if that is possible and if it is, how we would do that?
