k1 visa mariage certificate is required

We were engaged and took photos and submitted those, submitted the photo copy of the engagement ring payment receipt and two our relatives wrote letter that they attended our engagement party. If you submit your engagement paper and if it says married that you will be denied KI visa. You need to apply for CRI visa. I am Hindu and I have no knowledge that Indian government issues engagement certificate. You must have applied for marriage certificate?
