USCs are not allowed to receive B2 visas....what else is missing from this collection of stories being told? How many birthday parties have you attended that took place 5000 miles away from home? Zero would be my guess.

Compared to you, I was saving the world...from people who tried to gain access to the US for purposes other than what they stated....the most challenging and satisfying job I've ever had...deflecting criticism from those whose applications or whose relative's or friend's applications were denied was a constant...yours are about as consequential as fog landing on the ground.

I've received death threats, physical threats, as well as thousands of letters in which history was re-written, all in the attempt to get me or someone else to change my decision....never happened, as I believed solely in my own judgment, and not on the opinions of anyone else.....which is what is supposed to happen.

People from around the world thought they were more clever than me or many of my colleagues....the vast majority found out quickly they were not.

So please, keep up the subtle name calling and accusations, while I stifle a yawn.

I would question that with the number of illegals in the US, apparently roughly half came on visa's.

Wow.... This is a popcorn thread for sure. My brain is starting to hurt trying to decipher the walls of text into sentences and paragraphs though.

Well, let's keep it more on-topic, please; there are other places to talk about Wales.

The OP has received some very frank responses from the retired consular officer, whose posting style might often be blunt but whose insights are invaluable, both on their face and as a vehicle for learning. The OP is of course free to protest via any avenue that he wants to try, but the outcome will be the same. From that standpoint, there might be little left that this thread can accomplish.

Wow! I'm incredibly impressed by the retired consular officers insights. Has that claim been vetted or verified? ...because I'm either a retired consular officer or possibly a retired Department of State employee also...janitor perhaps?

TBoneTX...you know, sometimes it's not what one says, rather it's how they say it.

Whatever the veracity of the OP's post is or whether it's believable, I seem to recall them saying they wanted to express their experience. Maybe I should re-read it, but I didn't see them asking for any advice.

For those who do not want to read the whole thing:

We started off with a sad story of someone who wanted a visa to attend a party in the US and was racially discriminated against and refused. Seems that there were lies on the application because somebody else filled it out.

Then it turns out that the party was his USC spouses.

And now he is a dual national, presumably the second one is the US.

All in a very short space of time.

Would this me a trolling Ghanaian or someone who is actually wanting to 'test the waters' for a B2? I have been wondering this from the beginning...love this thread,,,,

VJ, the gift that keeps on giving. But who knows what the real situation is?

It's certainly possible that someone might read between the lines while thinking about their own upcoming visa interview or that of a friend or relative...however, in order to read between the lines, one has to be able to read the actual lines first.

Note that I have not offered a fool-proof script for success...because there isn't one. If I had such a sure-fire method of obtaining a visa, I could sell that method for tons of money instead of posting my thoughts here (or is that 'hear?' - I forget). But if I did have the guaranteed solution, I would not sell it to anyone as such an action would go against my own work ethic and respect for our laws.
