I am so nervous for my interview:/ I didn't realize that most people actually do the K1 visa (i didnt even know what that is!)

Any canadians out there adjusting from a visitor visa (overstay)?? I wanted to know what your interview was like and what I can expect. I actually got married 3 years ago and just finally sent the paperwork in! LOL! The "welcome to america' letter will be more like 'you are free to leave the country' letter haha. I have been to 10 countries perviously and i am just so excited to travel w the hubbs and bring him to canada!!! all these people that are so worried about getting their AP after being in this country for a month. try being here 4 years and not leaving!! LOL! i am not complaining though, as i am with my loved one and we are able to build a life here and we both have solid careers:) i mean, i couldnt imagine coming here from a different country/culture and trying to get work.. i feel as though that is an obstacle in itself and one that many couples don't even think about until after they receive their GC:/

My priority date is November 15th, 2015. I have had no updates on my I-485 nor I-130. Since I really needed my EAD I called CS to have it expedited on January 7th, 2016. The case was approved on January 15th and it says that they are producing my card. As of today, status is updated online, but I have not received the approval letter. Any idea how long will I have to wait for both the letter and the actual card? Also, is it weird that my case has not change for "ready to schedule interview"? Anyone else on the same boat?

Hi there! It would be amazingly helpful if you could explain what was the reason you based your expedition. Was it a job offer or something else? and what steps did you made exactly and what happened. I'm only asking cause I asked for an expedition too and wanted to see if there were any similarities...you know how we all get when it comes to this...thank you in advance

Curious...can I file an inquiry regarding the status of my interview getting scheduled? I'd been about 3 months with it reading "case ready to be scheduled for an interview."

I now don't have to use it this time. I have received a notification in the afternoon stating that

"On February 1, 2016, we ordered your new card, and will mail it to the address you gave us."

It's for I765, APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

But for Advance Parole Card I have not yet received any update. Hopefully it's the same card with my work permit.

At 12.15pm it was sent to my phone that my case is updated. Then I checked online and a bit later I got the notification on email.

They received my package on 16th Nov'15. I did the fingerprint on 16th Dec'15. The officer said my fingerprint was not clear might have to come back to do it again in a month. I have been waiting for the appointment letter but I didn't get anything until i got this notification today.

I really hope we all get it very soon.

Yeah some people are real fast like just 3 months but some others are so slow. One girl I saw somewhere else, it took her 9 months to get her green card. It was in NY. Mine is in DC which is quite busy there (from what I saw in my fingerprint day). At first I gave 5-6 months, then later hoped for 3 months, now maybe 9 months. I don't know, but really expect it will be fast to everyone.

I think yours is on the way soon!
