a close friend recently asked me if i could assit in sponsoring her husband since she does not make enought money to adjust his permanent residence.

i told her its not that easy.

in my case iam sponsoring my wife and 2 kids our removal of conditions is coming up.

what implications can i run into if i assist in sponsoring her husband?

ROC is no time to be doing anything 'unusual or special.'

Focus on the most important goal . . . getting that 10 year Green Card.

I wouldn't be agreeing to sponsor any additional persons until the ROC is completed.

There are no additional implications and it does not in any way affect previous ROC applications. The only thing to make sure of is meeting the income requirement. It actually is "that easy". If you have other reservations, that is another issue. But again, the current ROC is unaffected and the sponsorship responsibilities are the same.

thanks for the great advice.

im not going to be providing assistance to my friends husband for affidavit of support. we worked so hard to receive our green card and immigration forms. the journey was so tough mentally stressfull I don't want to do anything to ruin our 10 year greencard status.
