also sucks that in 15 years america still hasn't learned anything about combating terrorism. you can't fight fear with fear. or violence with violence. i mean you can but, don't expect an end to it.

You remind me of my brother. He's pretty much a pacifist(you'd never be able to tell he was a tank gunner/commander during his mandatory military service) and once told me if he ever saw a terrorist with his gun pulled he would pick and offer him a flower. He honestly believes if he's nice to him he'll be nice back to him.

So I propose this - instead of bombing Isis lets just shower them with flowers.

Those flowers were left by mourners for the victims of a terror attack in Tunisia. If you have to resort to propaganda, it tells me that, for whatever reason, you are not able to make a very convincing case for you position.

i am a pacifist. but i'm also a cynic. the military serves a definite purpose. i understand evil exists. i don't believe if i'm nice to evil it will be nice to me. being a realist, too, won't let me hold onto false hope that "bombing isis" is a plausible tactic. i believe that the only defense we have is to stand firm in our freedom and way of life. to absolutely refuse to allow terrorists to get their way, when it comes to my how i live my life. these are crazy days, i'm still a little in shock about what trump was hollering last night about registering muslims. seriously, is trump with isis or something?

Quite what needs to happen before some on here get a clue I really do not know. There will be more incidents, there will be incidents in the US. How many more have to die before some see the reality I do not know.

i also understand that if you've spent the last seven years steeped in distrust of the current president, or lean towards the belief that he is trying to weaken the us to let in his 'allies', that it would appear pretty stupid and pointless for any american to have an ounce of faith in our intelligence or foreign policies.

The irony, and the laughable part in all this, is that we have guests in this country telling other guests at the door they should not be given asylum in the US; and telling everyone why our country is such an awful place. It must be awful to be trapped an held against one's will in such a country. My heart goes out to all those immigrants who are trapped in America.
