Police Clearance Certificate from the USA

Good day everyone,

I am a complete newbie to this site and process - I am recently engaged to a US citizen and although very nervous about this process, crazy excited at the same time!

I have recently returned from the US where I lived and worked for 1 year (on a J1 visa). I worked for a Federal Agency and therefore underwent a full background check (my Supervisor has the clearnance certificate). Is it true I have to provide a PCC from the US when I attend my interview? And if so, will I need to apply to the US for another (I'm back in South Africa) or can I obtain the original from my Supervisor and use that?

No, USCIS will do their own background check, no need for you to provide a police cert from the USA, just from any other countries you lived in.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
