To present this topic, I will simply quote the letter I sent to the US Embassy in Moscow. If anyone has any insight into this, I would greatly appreciate it! We have been successful throughout this process but it now it seems stalled and my stress level is building.

On September 17th, I received a letter from the U.S. Consulate in Moscow stating they had received my approved K-1 visa petition. My Russian fiancee has yet to receive any notification or documents from the Consulate. She has called twice and was basically told that the documents will come and she simply has to wait. That's okay but the problem is that she now has to choose her vacation time for next year. Unfortunately, we obviously have no idea when her interview will be scheduled.
Can you give us any sort of time frame as to when she would most likely be expected to come to Moscow for her interview? It is my impression that most, if not all, Russians have to choose their vacation days far in advance, I would think this is something you run into frequently. Any direction on this matter would be greatly appreciated!

Hello.

Have you checked ur status on this CEAS site? https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw== What is it - Administrative processing? If it is, you may shedule ur inrervew already - because in Moscow u have to pick the date by urself.

What u have to do - u have to create an account here http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ru/index.html?firstTime=No then pay the fee (or pay the fee first, it doesent matter), then fill DS-160 form. And after all of this u can shedule ur intervew using ur account on ustraveldocs.com

And tha's the list of the documents she will has to have http://moscow.usembassy.gov/iv-fiancee.html

Now, for example, it u have Administrative processing status and u fill all the forms, u may choose the date in December or January.

If I can help her somehow or u have any questions - u r welcome to ask, we are almost on the end of this jorney (with God's help) and it's my intervew next week in Moscow already:))

I know this may not seem entirely honest, but due to the importance of the event and its impact on both your lives, can I suggest she goes sick, "cough, cough" for the interview date? That would surely resolve the issue. I mean after a successful interview she could be with you in a month and employment issues would not matter.

Just my take on it.

Thank you for your reply, Cassis! We have already paid the fee (a long time ago) and completed and submitted the DS-160 (last week). I went to the Visa Status Site you first mentioned to check on our status and for us, it says "NO STATUS". But I can tell that our case number is valid and it says our case creation date is November 8th, just a week ago. Then, I went to our account page (https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/) and it used to be blank but now is says Visa Information: Moscow K-1, Fee Payment: $265, Document Delivery Information: (nothing) and "no appointment is currently scheduled." Each of the these boxes is a button but if you click on them, nothing happens.

I clicked on the button to the left which says Schedule Appointment and it takes me to a page where my fiancee would fill in much information about herself...and maybe on the next page, it would let us schedule an appointment. I don't understand if I should do this or wait from the US Consulate to send something to my fiancee....???

When I was playing on the account screen, I found a page that I think said something like, "which city do you want to have your interview?" And of course, I chose Ekaterinburg, her home city!!! But now I can't find that page at all and our account page says Moscow. Do you know if visa interviews can be scheduled in Ekaterinburg? If so, that would be wonderful for her!!

Right now, I'm quite confused. Thanks again for your help!
