A friend of mine bought a Wii this morning and invited me over to play. We had so much fun!! I am so amazed by it, I really want one now.

I can already feel that my arms will be sore tomorrow. :)

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Yay! I talked to Mel and told him how fun it was! He said we will get one when I get back to the US!!

I'd been trying to get a Wii in the States since before Christmas. I refused to camp out overnight in front of some store to buy one. I finally managed to get one online last week, and I love it. But my right arm and shoulder are so sore right now because I played Wii Sports for over three hours last night (yes, I have no life ;) ).

I haven't bought any games yet because I was going to wait until my husband got here. The Wii was supposed to be our Christmas present to each other. I really don't have a clue as to which games are worth getting, though I heard that Rayman is a lot of fun. If anyone has other games they would recommend, I'd appreciate it. :)

Warioware: Smooth Moves is great fun with multiplayer. As is Rayman-- Majority seems to say they're quite similar but warioware has the edge. Also, if you're new to the series, the single player mode is loads of fun too, but for the Warioware veterans, there have been a few complaints of lower replay value/shorter playthroughs.

Trauma Center is quite fun and reasonably challenging but a very fair learning curve.

Elebits is fun and a great peek into some of the very new gameplay types that the wii opens up, but again, hardcore gamers have complained it is a wii bit shorter than preferred.

Super Swing Golf is kind of like Wii Sports golf but the controls are very different-- It seems to be a very 'love it or hate it' control scheme. I personally love it because you can change it to the old school 'press A when you want to swing', rather than being bound to swinging it like a club all the time.

Wii Play is fun if you enjoy Wii Sports, and is a bargain title if you're looking for a second remote-- it comes to about $10 for the game, if you figure in the cost of another remote, which it comes with. Reviews may look dim but that's because most of them are rating it as a $50 game, when it's really just a $10 packin with a remote.

Excite truck is good for a simple-ish racer.

I've heard very few good things about Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz, and Red Steel, but haven't played them so I can't say much besides that. I didn't like the controls on Tony Hawk Downhill Jam at all, but I've heard great things about SSX Blur.

And, of course, there's some fun retro games if you're into that, just need to pick up some of the download points cards or purchase them direct through the online wii shop!
