OMG. this website just bombarded my inbox with 115 emails

I recently joined and my suddenly received an influx of emails/ notifications. 115 in one day to be exact. I can't find the option to make it stop.

Please change your website's default settings to not send so many emails to users. It's just unprofessional.

Try going to the Notification Options tab on the My Settings page (you can access that by clicking on your username at the far right of the top menu bar). Under "Topics and Posts", change the dropdown menu from Immediate (which I suspect is the setting you currently have) to None then scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Save Changes button.

I'm sorry you received so many emails, I can imagine how annoying that must have been. I don't quite know why it happened though, as I'm pretty sure that the combination of "automatically follow all topics I reply to" and "send notifications immediately" isn't the forum's default setting. We'd be drowning in complaints within 24 hours if it was! I hope that changing your settings as I explained above fixes the issue for you.

July 26, 2011: Received NOA2 via text/email!!!
July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

Doubt it's the default settings. You should go through your settings and adjust according to often you want to updated on replies.
