HI all,

I want to share my experience, my mother is petitioning for my brother to come to US, we are at NVC stage, i paid the AOS fee, and we picked the Agent which in this case will be me. two weeks passed and nothing happened no IV fee or DS260, so i called yesterday and they told me that Choice of agent is not verified and i told her how long does it takes, she said about 45 days, than she said that to verify it she need to speak to the petition and i told her she does not speak English, but i can translate she is OK, after we are done, she said ok sure i just completed your choice of agent review and i should be receiving an IV Fee within a week.

it was strange, that she needed to speak the petitioner to complete the verification, so basically if i did not call and ask they will never call her, If we knew it was that simple we would of called two weeks ago.

Yes, I just had the same situation. I paid the AOS fee on November 3rd and if it wasn't for someone here on VJ I wouldn't have known to call yetersday. And surprisly today not even 25 minutes ago I got the email to pay the visa fee. Good Luck!
