I live in a small (and growing smaller) place called reality. Where people are responsible for their actions and can't blame everything that doesn't go their way on the govt. or race. It's a lonely place here in reality.

As far as your allegedly "informed" voters, 96% of the black voters chose Obama in 2008. That tells me that people were voting based on race rather than issues. And I'd like to know what you consider informed? What is the metric? I suspect you're just pulling things out of your %%%, which isn't surprising around here. You probably think they're "informed" because they agree with your position. Pretty cool how that works.

And Clinton got close to the same amount back in 1992 and 1996. Same with Gore. Both were white men who got over 80% of black voters. But no one was paying attention until 2008, don't know why that is. Black people have voted mostly Democrat so it's really not a surprise but since Obama is black, it can't be anything else but his skin color.

While 80% and and 96% are both large numbers, they are not the same.

Gore got 90% in 2000, Kerry got 88 % in 2004. Black voters have always polled in the 85% for Democrats. This would be more true if it was in the low 50's or something. Or if every black person stayed at home until 2008.

White people vote for who they think will best represent them. AND they vote based on race as well. You could see that when Romney lost the election.

So to sumerize. White people vote for whoever they think is best for the job, and black people vote for Democrats.

So says the man who loses his mind when people lump all black people into the same stero types.

He's saying all people vote for the party that best represent their interests. All people do that.

There are black people who vote Republican as well, but not so much. And it's not a stereotype, just a simple fact.

Funny. Some facts seem to bother you

I can say the same thing about you when it comes to gun deaths vs terrorism...

My state's going republican no matter what so my vote is pretty much worthless. I'm probably not going to do it anymore. I'm not a fan of anything that puts me around people utilizing civic functions. Wait in line for an hour, after leaving work in a rush to make it before they close, and have to listen to people prattle on about whatever they prattle on about. No thanks.

Kinda how we feel here only the other way around. This state is kind of doomed to stay blue probably for another decade or two, so whatever we do ain't gonna matter. Might as well stay home.

Ugg I'm just in a bad mood when I have to work nights and like arguing with junebug. ?

I'm also just waiting on my NOA2 and miss my husband.

I'm just happy we live in a country where we can openly dislike our elected officials and rag on them and each other without having to worry about neighbors turning us in and some secret Staci police knocking on our doors telling us "you come with us". God I love this country.

I'm going to admit it, my state is blue, will never change, I live in the most progressive part of my state, and I kinda like John Kasich, and Lindsey Graham, but I'll never get a chance to vote for them, because they'll never win their primary.

Geez, such thread drift!

I swear, this attack was for retaliation against the local Paris gov requiring the head/face covering to be removed within city limits.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Unfortunately, the 3rd option is not to pick either one. I had to do this before. Even though it's not the "American" thing to do.

The 3 rd option is a valid choice. It's that or you get to pick the party that will oppress you
