My husband is surprised by how much he misses roundabouts.

 We have one here in town and literally nobody knows how to use it. Cars stop in the middle to let others on...and one truck went around the middle of it, instead of on the road. Don't get me started on the lack of signaling and talking on their phones. :bonk: The driving test is way too easy. I didn't even have to get in reverse gear for mine. :help:

lol, we have one nearby and my husband always moans about how no one knows what they're doing there.

He couldn't believe how lame the driving test was either and he's always yelling about how someone didn't 'indicate' lol.

lol, roundabouts!

When my in-laws came to England, we traveled all over. Well my father in-law drove and everytime we came across one (like once a mile  ) he screamed the entire time he was on it! So funny.

Mags...your cat photos KILL me!

I miss...and I am not even British drinking a pint with dinner. At a pub.

ya! And by dinner I mean lunch.

I get messed up when I come back...calling lunch dinner and dinner tea and ya...that.

Let me also very very quietly say that roundabouts and narrow roads are the reason I don't drive in England...But shhhhhh don't tell anyone.

I miss normal sized newspapers. Broadsheets are just so hard to read when you have short arms.

I have to agree on roundabouts. Much prefer them to 3 or 4 way stop signs.

That's all I can think of! So if I stay off the roads and don't read newspapers, I'm ok!!

I do think it's silly to have some stop signs in the middle of nowhere.

And I'mma disagree with the group re:roundabouts (even tho I'm not the UKC).....in pretty much the whole time I lived there, roudabouts scared the shiznit outta me.

I much prefer stop lights and stop signs...but meh, i suppose it's all what you're used to!

I have this theory that STOP signs are manufactured by the same folk that do the clutches and brakes here as having one leads to the faster disintegration of the other !! I miss roundabouts which sooooo keep traffic moving but cannot believe that the majority of american drivers who appear to have no concept of an indicator could ever master them
