Hey, guys!

On your declaration of having met in the last two years, have you included HOW the fiance proposed?? My fiance and I simply decided to get married, there was no formal proposal, just because we realized we love each other too much and simply wanted to be together. Should I include how the decision was made?

Also, we met (and have been dating) for 4 months now, I know it isn't long, but anyways, is that a red flag for us?? Has anyone been or seen some case like ours?

Thanks!! =D

I did not.

Sounds like you are going for a K1 so you will be over the year mark by the time of the interview.

Not required.

We only knew each other for two months before we met in person and decided to file the K-1 (effectively agreeing to get married.).

Thanks!! =D

You only need to describe how you met in person within the last 2 years. Nothing more, nothing less. You do not need to declare how you proposed, or how you became engaged. Just a simple statement such as : I met my fiancé [name] at [place] on [date].

My wife and I simply agreed to marry each other when I filed the I-129F petition. There was no formal proposal before filing.

We wrote on a separate sheet of paper how we met, proposal etc just so that when interview comes they already know the story and less question marks :) front load as much as you can to make it easier for yourself :)

My finance and I only met 6 months ago, so I was a little worried about this too. I wrote a short paragraph for question 34a on the I-129F (on a separate sheet since there's almost no room on the form), explaining how and where we met, when we decided to be romantically involved, that I met his family, other times I visited him and when I plan to visit in the future. At his interview last week, they asked him if he's really sure he wants to marry me since we only met six months ago. He, of course, said yes and that he loves me. I didn't state anything about who proposed to whom or when. His visa was approved with no problem.
