Hi all, we filed our I129F on 2/9/2007 and rec'd our NOA1 from the California SC....according to the USCIS site, our SC is Nebraska (I live in Michigan, he lives in Windsor, Ontario). When I called the CSC, the customer svc. rep confirmed they received the ap, were processing it and when I asked him why it went to California instead of Nebraska, he said "you can send it to Nebraska, but they'll forward it to us for processing"....this hit me wrong and I've wondered about it ever since....anyone else care to shed some light? Is there anyone else out there that went to Nebraska? I recall reading a story of someone who's attorney sent the ap to the wrong office and they didn't find out til 3 months later....but I can't seem to find the story again.

Thanks to all for your help!

USCIS changed its procedure a while back to consolidate all K-1 petitions from Nebraska and Texas to California. They have not changed the instructions (because they could always change there mind), but both NSC and TSC have proper procedures in place to forward the petitions.

YMMV

Yup, if this makes you feel better, I also belong to the NSC district and it got forwarded to CSC too. It happens to all of us :P Now, the part that sucks is that CSC takes quite a bit to process schtuff! Why o why couldn't I belong to VSC? :| Hopefully I'll hear back in a week or two about my NOA2.

Good luck!
