Claudeth's was very simple. After we filed she had to go do her biometrics and then a couple months later she got her green card.

The answer to how long it will take is, it depends - mostly on the efficiency and backlog of the local office you have to go through. A lot of people seem to be getting it pretty fast nowadays but we got ours last year and the whole process took almost two years.

I wonder if how long it will take to process AOS until the Green card comes and the requirements to be submitted.

Can you share your AOS experiences, please?

Based on the experiences of many VJs, I'll say that it depends also on how long your FBI namecheck takes. I got my got my interview in less than 3 months, but I am stuck in the namecheck thing. So, my local office was actually good at processing stuff quickly, but unfortunately, the namecheck = delay. Good luck.

Mine was quite fast. It only took me less than two months (48 days) to received my “Welcome to the USA” snail mail. I think, if u submit all the required documents that they were asking then there’s no possibility to get an RFE. Your only concern will be now is how long the FBI name check takes. RFE & FBI name check = DELAY.

I have been blessed during this entire process. I was approved in approx. 2 months and that was with a RFE! Some have it good while others encounter a difficult journey. I am spiritual and I believed a lot of praying helped myself and hubby. We are happy and I am glad he can now assimilate into US society. There is a huge difference when you can go to work and mingle in society. I felt my husband was trapped in the house.
