We should be able to provide free undergrad and a small fee for trade schools and take away general education requirements so undergrad is only 3 years instead of 2. If we got rid of million dollar salaries ofor presidents and vice chancelors we could do it

Cavuto is kind of a wingnut too. And he cut her off a lot, obviously very much so when the 'feed cut out' ...but she failed to convey anything meaningful either. Brutal. That was a long horrendous interview.

Where would it stop, free college ? why not grad school? I'd love to goto grad school? I'd love to goto a private school? send my kids to private school?

Not every job is a 'career' job....just cause you try to make it one, doesn't mean it is one. Hourly fast food jobs....if you can't support a family on it, shouldn't have had one. Those are choices/accidents. Neither of which should be everyone else's problem.

So today an illegal immigrant can get amnesty. Get a $15 min wage job while working on campus while going to college FREE and then go return home w/ that education? That sounds like a good investment.

If people want to promote change...cool. Just explain the process of how its going be provisioned systematically. Earnestness.....is expensive.

What about kids that don't want to go to college. Do they get a refund?

India? is a dirty place with horrible roads and infrastructure where people have rolling blackouts. No malice toward India, just saying free education hasn't solved all those countries' own problems as is here.

Why would people deserve free college when lot of people dont have food/housing and starving?

Regarding these comparisons to other countries, is there any tangible data regarding how positive it truly has been and how long free education has been there? Just saying another country has it doesnt really mean a whole lot.

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

US should really raise University entry standards!

Over my dead body if I am forced to pay 90% tax rate to support free tuition college for people like her! :protest: :protest: :protest: :protest:

One thing that should be mentioned is that the current loan system that we have in the US is actually a major reason why costs continue to inflate.

Loan companies (and the government) can easily give out as many loans as they want because the risk (perceived at least) is very small. After all, the student is on the hook until they pay the loan or die.

With all of this easy money flooding the system prices will climb without any added value virtually unchecked. I read somewhere that for every extra dollar that gets pumped into the system, university rates respond with 60 cent hikes.

Did not mean to imply that, but it would add to the pile

I know, just saying.

We could make a choice to invest in education over some of the other things we do. Whenever you look at countries that do better than us in education, the correlation is usually pretty close with how much the country spends.

If we got rid of the student loan system, that encourages privately run universities to rape the system, we could easily afford to make public universities tuition free.

Give me a break. The government is the problem and now we are looking again for the government to be the solution. The Gov created the tuition bubble by encouraging the loans. Classic example of creating the problem so they can be the solution. Does anyone actually believe tuition would have risen the same if there was no one able to pay it via debt? Supply and demand, plain and simple.

I don't listen to Limbaugh. I have my own opinions.

And don't ever call me a liberal. Not even as a joke.
