Undergrad in many countries is free. We should follow a different model. More educated people can really help this country.

Often science based post graduate courses are free, and some even come with a stipend for living expenses in many European countries.

Across the board free for everyone? Yes.

No, just people who are qualified to attend university, and they only get fees paid once.

So if we are talking about raising University entry standards and reducing enrollment to European levels then no it will help the US overall.

We would also need to make education equal in all areas in order for students to pass standardized tests. I can see inequality of education in poorer areas being a problem when attempting to pass college entry tests.

But it doesn't hurt other countries that are offering it.

I'd love to read this research. I know I only have an overly expensive US education but I would love to see the holistic evidence that this approach is perfect.

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

US should really raise University entry standards!

Over my dead body if I am forced to pay 90% tax rate to support free tuition college for people like her! :protest: :protest: :protest: :protest:

Can't agree with wiping out the students debt, however, moving forward with a European model would be nice. Universities in U.S are just corporations. Have you seen the salaries of presidents and vice chancelors? Ridiculous

Free college, free everything yahoo

Who is going to pay for it ?

I mean we are only 20 trillion in debt. Let's spend spend spend

So sad when a country like India can do this but a first world country like the U.S. can't.

Comparing India to US?

What is the standard of living in India vs US?

Maybe these students should just go to India for their college education then.

Average cost of tuition/year is only $1,500 ---> Highly afforable :joy:

Everybody wants to have college education but what will happen if there are no enough jobs to go around?
