I love San Diego. I spent some time there when serving in the Corps and really did enjoy that city. Mexico is close and Rosarito Beach has some great places to eat at cheap prices.

I found the answer I got hysterical. Mainly because it's as FAR away from being accurate as possible! I got this below...

With your desire to socialize in a warm-weather cosmopolitan city, you should live here: Miami, Florida. The vibrant colors and sexy energy of Miami are found in everything from the natural environment, architecture, people and food. Miami is considered a world city influenced by its cultural and linguistic ties to Latin Americans and Caribbean islanders. Hot days turn into hot nights with the tropical club and music scene. The beaches, subtropical climate and large single population make for plenty of fitness and outdoor activities in this vibrant city. Miami is also home to seven universities and a national park.

I think what's hysterical, is that I actually used to live in Miami...for 20 freaking years!

And believe me......the LAST place that I would ever want to live in (again)...is Miami! (And by the way...I grew up there....so can't say the choice to live there was my own.) It just happened to be the place my parents moved to as I was growing up. But....it's changed a lot since I grew up there, and even when I go back to visit, all it does is remind me of how glad I am I don't live there any more.

So........pretty funny answer I got.

I think what messed up the poll were some questions like "How would you want to get to work". I put convertible, but only because the other choices stunk, having to choose between taking the train/rail.......or walking (huh? Who the heck wants to walk to work? )......or biking...to work etc... There was no choice for just a regular non-convertible car. So,......that must have had something to do with my result. I really don't like convertible's.........but was the only choice ...when compared to the others. I also love the water, being from Florida . But Florida's a pretty big place.......with a lot of other good beaches than just those you find down south.

Many other places in Florida I'd rather live...(The Tampa/Bradenton/Sarasote area for example....or even better........the southwestern areas...like Naples...). Basically any other place in Florida .........BUT Miami! :P

With your passion for nightlife, theater and a city lifestyle, you should live here: New York City. Considered the cultural capital of the United States, New York City is home to a wide variety of languages, food, museums, art galleries and performance venues. It's also an international center for business, finance and fashion. Famous for its sights and architecture, it's one of the most visited cities in the world. Almost eight million people call NYC home; as a result, real estate is pricey, so most people opt to rent. With diverse neighborhoods and an efficient public transportation system, everything in this electrifying city is within reach.

Very interesting!!! Especially since I live in rural Northern NH and I spent my adult years (after college in DC) choosing to live in more rural environments :)

The irony is that I was born and raised in the county Dade...Miami-Dade that is. I often wonder why I ever left.

AUSTIN, TEXAS...kinda funny because this is where I was born and raised, so I guess it makes sense.

Because you value work life and after-hours entertainment, you should live here: Austin, Texas. Austin has been named one of the "Best Places for Business and Career," with residents including professors, politicians, musicians and those who work for major technology corporations. But Austin is about work and play. The city has more live music venues per capita than any other city, earning it the slogan "The Live Music Capital of the World." According to studies at University of Texas, Sixth Street is the place to find nighttime amusements for graduates of all ages with hopping bars and rocking bands. The city's work/life balance and warm climate makes Austin a great place to raise a family. The Colorado River runs through Austin, giving reprieve to hot summers. The surrounding hill country is a great place to play during the mild winters.
