Question about interview and unauthorized work

Hi everyone , I sent my concurrent package a few days ago and it showed it was received and signed for.However still no notice yet via text or email. I filled out separate G-1145 with me and my husband's info.

I've been our of status since 2010 (came here on a h2b work visa) and I moved to NY and managed to get a job as a nanny and curgently working for 5 yes now. I file my taxes every yr since I work and still use my ssn. So my question is for any who has been in similar situation and went to interview ,how do they treat such situation? I know the rules say unauthorized work will be foriven but I'm just curious as to know if anyone has had a not so nice IO and how the handled it.

The most important is not to say no if they ask you. if you worked you answer question. your unauthorized work is waved and you do not have to worry about it.

i had same case, worked without permission and IO even didn't ask me for it.

Thanks for the reply. I already disclosed on my both petitions that I am working .I definitely won't lie but u know sometimes people wake up on the wrong side of the bed .just wondering if anyone had any harsh criticism

The focus of your interview won't be where you worked, it'll be proving your marriage is bona fide. They might ask if you currently work or how long you've been working, but it isn't going to be an issue just say the truth. Most of the time it isn't even mentioned at all for the aforementioned reason, because you're adjusting through marriage not employment.
