Mr Smith, that is the exact same response I would have given :P

Okay, I'll be more specific. How long a test, what sort of manuvers, what nit picky things to expect and what sort of driving areas will I be taken into...that sort of thing.

i dunno abt va but i do know nj. i imagine it won't be drastically different.

in nj you get in the car and you exit the parking lot. you're expected to stop & signal. then you change lanes in traffic and make a left turn at a traffic light. so there they check that you stop at red and yield properly and all that.

then you drive a stretch of road. the test there is to see if you can stay in your lane and control speed, that is dont go over or too much under the speed limit. also make sure your eyes stay on the street, the examiner watches your eye movements.

ok so then they have you pull into another area where you have to do parallel parking. there is no curb, just grass where the curb should be. so you cant rely on bumping into something to know if you're too close or too far.

then there is a reverse for 5 seconds and then a k-turn.

then you drive back.

edit: i shuld add.... that is all i recall right now. maybe theres a few more maneuvers that i dont remember rite now.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I thought the universal NY hand-signal was "the bird".

It's common in NoVA as well.
