I graduated from high school in June 2015. As I hadn't taken the TOEFL and SATs earlier, I took them after high school. Also, a few family issues occurred. Due to this, I didn't attend any college for Fall 2015.

I applied to 5 normal-ranked (Times Higher Education #150-200) universities and got accepted. But, I've decided that I wanna attend community college in California so that I can save up and improve my grades and then transfer to UC Berkeley, as I'm a CS student. The only step left is my visa interview. I'm worried that I might get rejected, and since I do not have time to make second attempt, I might miss my chance to go to community college.

I need to be in the U.S by November 26, 2015. Yes, I know its late, but I do have an emergency appointment approved. All that's left is trying to be confident and not get rejected.

I've probably not explained myself clearly, but if you can understand, and give any suggestions to get approved a visa for community college, it would be a great help! Anything at all.

Have you been accepted to a community college that has issued an I-20 to you?

If you do not intend to enroll in the school that you have the I-20 for, then you will not qualify for an F-1 visa.

What visa are you planning on entering the US with by Nov. 25th? The F-1 visa allows you to enter 30 days before the start of school. No university starts a new semester in December.

I've been issued an I-20 from the community college and accepted to five universities.

All I'm worried is about the interview and being denied.

Community college classes begin in January, but the orientation and placement tests are in December. Also due to the need to find an apartment, I need to ultimately be there by the end of this month.

Please help me with any tips from your personal experience as an Indian or an F1 visa applicant.

Cool. That's good you have the appropriate I-20.

what visa are you planning to use to enter the US by Nov. 26th? The F-1 only allow you to enter 30 days before school starts. No school is going to start a new semester in December.

---- you edited your post while I was typing. Bring proof of when you have to go to orientation or take your placement test and that you are entering within the 30 days before the start.

Best of luck
