Report of marriage

I read somewhere that within 30 days after marriage, we need to report or register our marriage to Philippines consulate.

I am almost 3 months late already, and when I was preparing all the papers, 4 copies each of almost everything needed and all of them need to be notarized or certified.

My question is anyone know how long I can be late to report our marriage? I'm wondering why they need a lot of notarized copies and this really makes me lazy to be honest lol!

1. There is no requirement to report your marriage.

2. The only things that need to be notarized are the four Report of Marriage forms. Chinook and I had those pages notarized at our bank in about ten minutes.

1. You don't need an explanation of delayed registration.

2. Marriage certificates, ID's, birth certificates, and passports don't need to be notarized.

That's the right thing to do or else the Filipino citizen still has an unmarried status in NSO. Also, if the Filipino citizen is female and would renew her passport and would like to change to her new surname, she would need a report of marriage.

Yes, that's true. And, thank you for adding it even though the OP didn't ask about those things.

Additionally, if you want to reacquire Filipino citizenship, you will need to report the marriage. That's when Chinook reported our marriage.

Sure you're welcome. Oh BTW, OP didn't ask if it was a requirement either.
