The Embassy will call your spouse directly in Jamaica, with the interview date and also send an email after the conversation within 5 days of receiving your case from DHL

Ok great wonderful!! Such a relief to know that we are so close!!!! And to the question about the bases of the expedite. Mine was medical and financial hardship. I found out that I have something medically urgent that must be taken care of as soon as possible because it has the potential to be life threatening and I will need to see specialists and have diagnostic testing done which is becoming very expensive. So the medical and financial hardship went hand in hand. plus I have a little one in the midst of everything and child care is of the essence!! If you are looking to expedite you reasoning must be legitimate but I cant stress enough. SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS. SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS! SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS. Even if you feel as though your reasoning is minor by all means try. Enough evidence and supporting documents to back up your claim increases your chances!!

Congress helped alot! My congressman is a big supporter of immigration and his local office helped with filing the expedite request. I made sure I did all I could do on my end such as making sure all fees were paid. When it seemed they were taking an unusually longer time than normal to respond back congress helped with follow up on the case!!
