admin processing

Can someone help to understand why the AP is taking so long when i was only given a white to summit no impediment certificate (had no idea one was needed) however, certificate was filed for got summit on Oct 16, 2015. My interview was Oct 7,2015. Yesterday I got an email stateing

Dear Madam:

We are at the final stage of processing. Please allow another five (5) business days for the process to be completed and your packet will then be sent to DHL for delivery.

I am in the same situation as you. My fiance had his interview on Oct. 2 .. they said he was approved; however, they called a week and a half later and said they needed a new police record. The police record was delivered to the Embassy in Kingston on Oct. 21st (4 days after your certificate). We are still waiting for any news. I've made calls to the NVC and emailed the Embassy and they both said the case is in administrative processing and they cannot give an estimate. It is encouraging to hear that you received an email yesterday! That means we might be right there behind you.

Regarding the email: I believe it is saying that within the next 5 business days [Mon. - Fri.] they will complete/issue your visa and then give it to DHL for shipment (which takes another 3 business days). Fingers crossed for you. This process has been so long and stressful.

It takes 4-6 weeks to get your visa after interview and file completed.

Man, AP is something else! It got me losing weight yow lol...I really hope to hear some thing great like VISA ISSUED ,Next week.

Hi MarieG, We got great news yesterday morning - THE VISA WAS ISSUED!

Phew. Now we wait for shipment. Since our cases are pretty much identical, I am hoping it will be shipped out tomorrow.

His flight to the US is booked for Wednesday 25th! We will have much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.

I am happy for you my dear. My status has changed yesterday to "Ready" and it said to check back status in 2 days time. So I guess by Wed/Thur is should say issued.

And yes, Thanksgiving is looking good! ?
