We picked up the passport yesterday.

Yay! Congrats! That was way faster than 2 weeks! Now your life together can really begin!

Luckily it has been a calm and normal pregnancy. I was devastated when I found this forum initially because of the long waits that people have had just to get their loved ones here but it seems as if the process has started to speed up and everyone said no way would the process take under 6 months. We have the interview in a little under 3 weeks from now on March 15 and if all goes well we are hoping he can travel here by April 1. That would put the process at taking under 3- 4 months if we are approved. I am due May 1 so that will be ideal!

  • 2 weeks later...

I fly to DR on Sunday and the interview is on Tuesday. I will definitely put an update on Thursday when I return. I'm so nervous this trip bc of interview, pregnancy, and risks.

Yes, thankfully I filed in December for the K1 and it went to California. Interview is next week although we could have scheduled it earlier but we waited until I had the time off to attend so if all goes well he will make the birth of our child. DR is very hard to get visitor visas and a CR1 would have taken longer so the company I went through advised me right and made sure paperwork was done efficiently and accurately.

Wow you guys are so lucky you filed when you did! I'm not sure they're doing tsc transfers to csc anymore! If you have your appt next week, I think you very well might make it for may! This is so awesome!
