Hello everyone. The form I am talking about below is this one:

http://photos.state.gov/libraries/48675/CONS-IV/K1%20K3%20Instructions%20Packet.pdf

In the Package 3 instructions (form attached), it states that I must send the Consulate the following:

18) DHLRegistration: Online registration for passport delivery via DHL. Instructions attached.

Now, in the instructions, it reads:

8. Select the consulate location, the date and time that appears on the letter you received from the the National Visa Center NVC), the Kentuky Consular Center (KCC) or the consular section and hit “Schedule appointment”.

Please help, I am very confused, what letter and date is it talking about? In can't be the interview date can it? The top of the form CLEARLY states:

IMPORTANT: THE APPOINTMENT WILL NOT BE SCHEDULED UNTIL YOU SEND US THE COPIES OF ALL THE DOCUMENTS REQUESTED BELOW:

How can I include the date and time in number #8 if I haven't received the appointment yet? I need to send these documents first!

Thank you all in advance :)

Item #18 is simply having to choose your desired DHL location where your documents will be delivered once the Buenos Aires embassy approves your petition.

Item #8 you mention is simple.. consulate location is Buenos Aires and the date and time would be listed on a letter from the NVC which gets sent to you once they approve your petition and forward it to the corresponding embassy.

Have you received this letter?

You don't have a timeline so it's difficult to tell where you are with the K1 process.

"Item #8 you mention is simple.. consulate location is Buenos Aires and the date and time would be listed on a letter from the NVC which gets sent to you once they approve your petition and forward it to the corresponding embassy."

I don't understand. The letter from the NVC simply states the following:

"Dear [Petitioner]:

The NVC received your fiancee approved I129F petition from USCIS. The NVC will now forward the petition to the US Embassy in BUENOS AIRES

...

Please keep the following information for your records:

Case Number ... XXX

UCSIC RECEIPT NUMBER ... XXX

Principle Applicant ... [beneficiary]

Petitioner ... [me]

Interview location ... Buenos Aires US Embassy, A.V. Colombia 4300

"

What date and time are we talking about here? I called the NVC and they told me they do not assign any date and time for K1 visa applications.

The only "date and time" that I am aware of is the Visa appointment, which is not assigned until I send the Embassy the Package 3 requested documents. Part of the requested documents is filled out item #8.

The timeline is updated in my signature below. I greatly appreciate the help :)

Right above where it reads "Dear [Petitioner]:..." there is a date listed right underneath the petitioner's address and a barcode; use that. I'm looking at our letter from NVC right now and it does have a date, look closer. Also look at the envelope in which the letter came as there is a postage stamp which also has the same date as the letter on ours; you could use that date.

If your letter does not have a date listed (for whatever reason) then use what's already listed on your timeline.

"10/21/2015 - Petition left NVC, sent to Buenos Aires embassy..."

Give them exactly what they ask for and everything will be just fine... sometimes things don't make a lot of sense to us but we have no choice but to abide by what the embassy requests.

Best of luck to you and your loved one.

By the way, once your petition left the NVC they are done with you... it's between the beneficiary and the embassy to schedule the appointment. Each embassy does things differently where some will allow people to schedule their own interview appointments while others specifically ask for the beneficiary to await further instructions from them before proceeding. Just wanted to add that.

Thanks for the help Captmaximus.

Please allow me to reiterate the problem because I think there's some confusion.

1) I am given a list of documents/actions I must submit and complete before any appointment will be scheduled.

2) In the last item on that list, it states:

IMPORTANT: THE APPOINTMENT WILL NOT BE SCHEDULED UNTIL YOU SEND US

THE COPIES OF ALL THE DOCUMENTS REQUESTED BELOW:
....

1) XXX

2) XXX

...

18) DHLRegistration: Online registration for passport delivery via DHL. Instructions attached.

3) In the "Instructions Attached", it states:

In order to deliver your passport and the corresponding immigrant visa packet, please register at the following web site: https://usvisa-info.com/.
...
4) Now, let's go to usvisa-info.com and select "Argentina":
The following pops up: http://i.imgur.com/LNlENV6.png
I Quote from the image:

(Option 1) I have received a Consular interview appointment date ...
(Option 2) None of the above
5) Ok, so since I'm currently wanting to schedule an appointment, I obviously don't have one yet. Let's tick option 2:
The following is the result: http://i.imgur.com/UIazEYY.png
I quote:

To use these Immigrant Visa services the following two conditions must be true:

  1. You must have an active Immigrant Visa application with a case number.
  2. You must have an Immigrant Visa appointment notice from the National Visa Center (NVC), KCC, or Consular Section

So here I am, in this never ending circle :/

I have emailed the consulate twice, and I'm not getting a response (they have no number to call).

I don't want to submit all of the documents without including item #18, since I'm afraid this will delay the process.

Thanks again for the help!
