Hi All,

I know I need to complete the i130 for my stepson but do I need to complete any other forms or extra documentation, My husband is a resident that is why I'm going to petition for him instead.

Thank you for any help you can give me,

You are the USC? Your husband is the LPR? You need to start with an I-130 and do the entire process.

I-130 with required docs (be careful, the documentation needed is different than with a spousal visa.)

After NOA2 the file will be sent to the NVC where the DS-261, DS-260, photocopies of documents, and AOS package will be submitted

After a case complete they will book an interview he will be required to attend and he will also need a medical. Bring all originals to the interview.

If approved the visa will be sent back with the IV package and passport. Your step son can then enter the USA.

Hi,

Follow the Guides. They are pretty good.

You will have to send in extra documents with the I-130.

Since you petitioned for your husband, you will file several forms that you are already familiar with; I-864, DS-260.

You will also need mom's signed and notarized letter allowing her child to immigrate to the US to live with his father and you.

Best of luck
