Plastic Bag for Passport Photo G-325a

Hey guys!

I read in a few threads people saying that placing the passport photo required for the G-325a in a SANDWICH ziplock bag was an option. But when I did that with mine it just looks so silly cause the bag is way bigger than the passport photo.

And, let me see if I got this straight:

1. You write your name in the back of the passport photo

2. Place the passport photo inside a plastic bag

3. Staple a piece of paper the size of the plastic bag onto the plastic bag from the OUTSIDE

4,. attach the whole thing to the back of the G-325a form with a paper clip.

Is that right? Are there smaller plastic bags I can find to place the photo in or the sandwich ziplock bag works? Thanks!

It doesn't matter that the bag is bigger. I used the same size.... Sandwich ziplock Baggie. Yes you have it correct.

I used a white label sticker for outside of Baggie. I'd use masking tape or something to write the name on the Baggie. I'd try to stay away from staples just in case.

I can just agree with LionessDeon.

I used cheap sandwich/snack bags from the Dollar Store. With a black pen I wrote the name on the bag (my name/husband's name). In addition, I wrote in each case the name and the Date of Birth on the backside of the pictures.

I also used paper clips for each bag.

Don't worry about the bags, important is that you have all your papers and pictures. I guess this bag thing on the back of the forms just makes it easier for them so they dont have to search all the pictures together for each form.

Good luck!

I didn't use a plastic bag for my photos in my K1 or my recent AOS application, i just used a bulldog clip and clipped it on the application.

I was given small plastic holders at Wallgreens when i had photos taken / the holder was clear on one side and the made just for the photos

I put mine and his in white envelope, sealed it and wrote all the information on outside

i don't think USCIS is fussy about this part

I paperclipped (using several) the snack baggie with the photographs to the sheet of paper. Then used a medium sized binder clip to clamp the whole thing to the back of the form. I suppose you could also use small binder clips for the baggie to make it extra snug. Used a sticky label to the outside of the bag with the names and wrote the name on the back of the photo. I'm guessing that the USCIS found everything in order and there was no problem.

Thanks guys! But if I wanna stay away from staples, then how am I supposed to keep the piece of paper together with the ziplock bag?

I used the quart size ziplock bags, that have the slider zipper across the top. My passport picture is so much smaller than the bag, but that's ok. The bag itself was smaller than the sheet of paper it was stapled to. There is nothing wrong with stapling the bag to the paper.

We used sandwich or quart sized zip lock baggies to hold the passport sized photos for all of our filings. Wrote Olga's name and A# on the baggie with a Sharpie marker. The baggies were always 'sandwiched' in the application paperwork with a paperclip in the document order listed in our cover letter. This method worked every time.

Good luck!

Thanks, everyone! I see what you're saying and I'm here wondering what's the practical use for the sheet. Is it just for labeling? Cause I was thinking about tagging the plastic bag with a sticker label and handwrite "photo of <my name>" and my date of birth, and DONT ATTACH any paper sheet. Is that enough? thanks =)

If the baggie is labeled and you wrote the required information on the back of the photos it will be OK. No need to fasten the baggie to another sheet of paper. Just use an adequate paperclip, or a binder clip, to hold the documents and baggie together.

Good luck!

I didn't use any plastic/Ziploc bags for the photos. I just paperclipped them to the application.

I used a glue stick to attach a small envelope to a regular sheet of paper. I labeled both the paper and the passport photos, and then I put the passport photos in the envelope. I did not seal the envelope.

See attached:

I found these 3x4" bags at a Michael's, but other art / craft supplies (and fishing tackle) stores might have them too.

About $3 for the pack.

Mickey's passport photo fits in just fine.
