Visa approved - when will it update on CEAC?

Hi all,

So happy to say that my visa was approved November 9th and I will be flying out November 30th

On CEAC it still says "Ready" however was updated on November 9th.. but I think I am correct in thinking that it needs to change to administrative processing before changing to "issued" (meaning it has been sent out)

How long does it roughly take for it to change? I was told I would receive my visa in 10 working days - so Nov 23rd

ALSO after she congratulated me on my visa approval - I followed the exit signs and left the embassy as she had my passport and information.. This was correct to do so, right?

As I know when I left my interview for my internship visa back in 2012 I had to go and see someone afterwards.. So I'm worried now that I was meant to see someone else after I had been congratulated on my approval?

A few years ago you had to stop at the courier desk to arrange for delivery of your visa. You did that online this time around.

Typical change is to AP maybe in 2-3 days and issued next day or two, but some have been longer. If two weeks pass, then worry about it. This is how long it has taken others to get their visa after the interview in London.

My status went from ready on the 9th (my approval was also 9th Nov) to issued yesterday on the 10th. It seemed to skip the AP update.

I haven't seen any update yet so I am a little concerned now :/

I wouldn't get yourself in a pickle about the CEAC website, I don't think its overly reliable

My status never changed after I was approved, it stayed in AP

I've been in the States over a month now

Visa came via courier no problem

Mine hasn't even changed to AP yet :/

It's only been TWO days. Too soon to be worried. And they are on holiday today so a built in delay

I think I'll worry just as everyone else does waiting for their passport back. I'm aware it has been two days - but I've seen many peoples update day of or after and I'm anxious to get it back just like everyone else.

You will be concerned but there seems no pattern to when/if ceac changes status. It doesn't seem 100% it does for everyone.

I understand - I just wish mine did have a pattern Do you know if its normal now for the "Case Creation Date" to change? My case was created in September, but now it has been changed to November 12th.. along with the Status Updated Date (also now November 12th)

I think I'm a little more anxious because I have booked my flights already as I asked at the embassy if booking for end of november would be okay and they said it would be fine.

It doesn't follow a specific pattern. You might have the passport in hand ad it still hasn't changed. That's the nature of the portal.

Haha ok, phew. I guess I'll try and calm down but I'm a very anxious person in general so I find it a little difficult sometimes not to panic.

I'll just be very happy to have my passport back in hand and finally off to the states!
