Hey, guys!

My fiance and I are picking pics for the I-129F petition and we have a few questions:

1) Can we print the pics using our printer in normal paper or do they have to be properly developed in photo paper etc? Matte or glossy?

2) What size should the pictures be? 10cm x 15 cm?

3) Can we make a collage (like a mini album) or send them individually?

4) Is 30 too much?

Thank you so much, guys, you've been incredibly helpful :luv:

I have done this too. Our pic size is 11x15 but I don't think pic size will be an issue.

Yes I think 30 i to many pictures. I have 8 and I know some have sent less.

Size and what kind of paper doesn't really matter, as long as you write on the back where it is and when.

Don't send in a album, u will get a RFE. Just send in the pictures (u can paste them on a paper if u want, but do not bind them in any sort).

30 is too much for the inital petition, I would keep it with 8 to 15 max. With the interview u can show more and in a album.

We put together a package for the I-129F. We had a cover sheet that included a table of contents and put a small number on each page for easy reference. We included pictures that told a story that showed a on-going relationship. Plain paper glued printed pictures to white paper and put descriptions of each picture. The size, the amount (as long as it isn't too many) isn't what matters what matters I think is being able to show a relationship with the pictures. So for example when we took a trip together we included a page with a picture of us together with an identifiable landmark in the background and the boarding passes or tickets on the same page. Our application was approved super fast and although I've not updated the timeline yet the interview for my now wife was extremely easy. Everyone is different but I think if you put yourselves in the shoes of someone looking at this then the more organized it is the better. Turns out it helped us organize it too. Best of luck

I did a combination of both.

I sent in 12 photos.

I printed them in color using a color laser printer onto plain paper (Word), 4 to a page. Beneath each I typed a description of who was in the photo, the location and date.

I then took the digital images to Walmart and had them generate real photos (I believe they were 4X6 size).

I then used label stock in the printer and printed out labels of the same descriptions and pasted to the back of the photos).

I then placed the four photos for each page into a plastic baggy and stapled that to a blank piece of paper. This sheet with baggy was placed beneath each of the pages with the photos printed on it.

No RFEs.
