I don't know... t-shirt, maybe? Hopefully I was wearing clothes other than that.

I'd rather him look respectable at a place as official as an embassy than look like he just rolled out of bed. An embassy isn't your local trip to an American Wally-world.

I mean, I guess. I honestly don't think it matters.

There's that smell again...

No shirt, no shoes, no service!

Also would say: No bathing suits, pajamas, cut offs, or jeans with holes in the knees and definitely not sagging below your butt so your underwear is showing!

I wore smart casual - beige cargo pants, blue casual sleeveless shirt and light jacket (I went mid summer). I think I wore either black leather shoes or black trainers. As some have said above, you need to be comfortable as you could be there a couple of hours or so, more or less depending on your luck. No need to go formal job interview type smart, but I'd also say don't go scruffy. I know they're supposed to assess you on your application and official documents alone, however, first impressions and all that. Go looking like a scruff and if there's any doubt about your application, then though it's unlikely, it might be the deciding factor that could tip the final decision against you. Dress as you would for a casual night out on the town and you won't go far wrong.

Saw this when we went for the interview. Very low-slung trousers on a young woman of ample proportions, which showed off her strappy thong.

Should fit in very well, People of Wal Mart?

Hmmmmmmmm I would say overdressed!

Very overdressed. A Wally-World look isn't complete without slippers, no bra, and unmatched pajamas. Thong is optional.
