When will I receive my work permit?

It feels like it has been forever since I filed my I-485, I-765 and I-131.

I went for a biometrics interview after receiving my NOA for I-485 and I-765, and that appointment was on the 22nd of Setember.

Haven't heard anything since.

Am I doing something wrong, or does it usually take this long?

It's hard living on 1 income, and it would be better if I had a job here.

90 days for the EAD.

You could have avoided this period of not being able to work by marrying abroad and filing for a spousal visa.

K-1 is faster than a CR-1, and waiting for the EAD is the price.

It takes 2 months after biometrics.

Okay looks like I missed a notice of action. I checked my case status for my employment authorization and it says:

On September 21, 2015, the Post Office returned a notice we sent you for your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization , Receipt Number #############, because they could not deliver it. This could have a serious effect on your case. Please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice immediately. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

But I got a form I-797C Notice of action in the mail on the 5th of sep and it has under case type: I485 - I765 and it says ASC appointment notice, which was my biometrics.

So what the hell is going on. Did I miss a notice of action that just said we're processing it now, and then I got called for a biometrics for both I-485 and I-765, or has my I-765 been halted?

Just send an e-request to see. All you need is one letter and you kept that appt.

Okay, I sent an e-request for both I-485 and I-765 since they both said the same thing. The travel document receipt/NOA arrived fine.

I hope this doesn't delay my case.
