I paid my green card fee of 165$ on September 11, 2015. I entered the US September 19. I received my SSN a week after. And its been 60 days today since i made my green card payment and i have not received anything. Not even a welcome letter. The only thing i have received is the payment confirmation of the 165$. I called uscis today 3 times and they ask me for an IOE number. I have no idea what that is. All i have is a receipt number from the beginning of the process. They told me to fill out an electronic form to request the IOE number, but when to do n inquiry you need to have an IOE number. Is there anyone that can help?

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

If it takes longer tham 6 months get a congressman involved. Until then, patience is all I can say. The IOE number won't work until the card is produced.

Hello,

Your IOE number must be like this " WAC 11 012 50960", in that

WAC is the service center

11 is the Fiscal Year

012 is Computer Workday

50960 is Case Number.

When you receive your receipt number, you can also verify and track your case by entering the number online. You can track your case status in USCIS website. Whenever you file an application or petition with USCIS, you’ll receive a receipt notice (Form I-797, Notice of Action) that contains a receipt number.

I paid 165$ fee on October 9 2015. My port of entry is October 17 2015, Dulles Airport, Virginia.

I haven't yet received IOE number. I called many times , In my second call, I was told that they have stopped issuing the IOE numbers.

I was surprised.

My questions are :

1 : What is the average waiting time ?

2 : What needs to be done when 60 days pass and the green card still does not arrive ?

3 : I was told that they have stopped issuing the IOE numbers from October 1, 2015 . Has anyone been told the same thing ?

3) We paid $165 the day after POE in November, last month. I was lucky to have noted down the IOE number after payment. So, whoever told you 'they' stopped issuing the IOE number is ill-informed. They could have been inadvertently referencing a recent processing change that affected GC payments and IOE-based tracking.

2) After 60 days, USCIS 1-800-375-5283, Option 2.

1) Coincidentally, our POE was also Dulles Airport. The CBP officer at IAD told us to expect the GC in 2-3 months.

PS: At Dulles, were you processed entirely at the CBP desk, or taken to Secondary?

Thanks for your reply Kieren Hubby. At Dulles, my processing was done entirely at One desk. I was not taken to secondary.

I have a friend who came via Abu Dhabi and his POE is JFK Airport. Although, he flew from Mumbai, he already completed 70 days and is still waiting for his GC.

His CBP was processed at Abu Dhabi airport in UAE (They have a new CBP department over there)and there is no subsequent processing for him at JFK Airport. He just entered the airport, picked baggage and took a cab.

What will be the next step for him also ?

Processing times vary across POEs. Someone I know entered the US last month and received their non-IR/CR1 physical card in 30 days.
