Does anyone know how do i start ?

I want to change my first name as most of people here cannot pronounce my first name.

I didn't change my last name when i got marriage and received gc.

but i just want to change my first name. Should i start at my home country first ?

If you soon going to file for naturalization, that will be the most easiest, trouble free and cost effective way of changing your name legally. You can also do it in your local district court but it can be expensive(cost is state based) and needs a lot more supporting docs & can be time consuming.

Agree - during Naturalization is a good time, then you can go afterwards and change both your name and citizenship status at the SS Office. Then get your US passport in your new name and then also change your driver's license...and done!
