Hi all,

I've got my interview on Thurs (12th) I just want to double check that I have everything I need. I know there are a million and one threads like this already I just need a little bit of reassurance!!

  • Passport
  • Birth Certificate
  • Police Certificate
  • DS-160 Confirmation
  • Fiancee I-134
  • Co-Sponsor I-134 + Proof
  • Old boarding passes + Visa Stamps from visits
  • Letters from Fiancee with postmarked envelopes.

My petition expires on the 31st December.

Hey!! Good luck :) I had mine yesterday & was approved! Yay!

All they asked for with me was the Embassy letter, DS-160 confirmation, birth certificate, police reports, affidavit of support, and proof of payment for the k1 visa (they didnt ask for my home delivery receipt)

I wasn't there very long - I arrived at 7:30 and they were already letting people in so I was inside by 8. I left around 10:30 :)

September 26th 2009: Started Dating (L)


June 6th 2015: Engaged :wub:



June 29th: K-1 Petition Filed


July 8th: NOA1


July 30th: NOA2


August 24th: NVC Received Packet


August 28th: NVC Case number and Invoice ID Number Received


September 10th: Case READY


September 21st: Received Chinese Police Certificate


September 22nd: Scheduled Medical


September 25th: Received English Police Certificate


October 1st: Submitted Readiness form


October 2nd: MEDICAL :dead:


October 2nd: CEAC status updated to "ready"


October 7th: Received Korean Police Certificate


October 8th: CEAC status updated to "ready" (received medical results)

November 9th: Interview / APPROVED

Oops forgot the US passport photos from my list! I do have those however!

Congrats on getting approved yesterday!! The interview process doesn't seem too bad.

I had my cr1 interview yesterday and it was 100x more simple than I imagined just waiting around in the cattle pen. No problems a few simple questions and approved!.

Please could you clarify further about 'Subject access report'. I only have Police Certificate, don't know if that is ok?

If your police certificate says "no trace" that is all you need. It means you have no record.

If it says "no live trace", it means you have an arrest or caution or charge on the books but it is hidden, expunged, or stepped down. The US wants to know about it. The words "no live trace" explain nothing. So you order a Subject Access Report which will reveal the details of your hidden record.

If your police certificate says "no trace" that is all you need. It means you have no record.

Congrats... How was the questions?

They were okay,

I felt the officer was fairly rude at one stage asking about my previous employment in the UK and how I got my position without going to University. She also asked about my UK salary which I felt was odd but other than that it was very straightforward and easy!

The officer asked me at the booth what I did for a living.

Employment history is first documented in the petition paperwork. form. G-325A http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/g-325a.pdf

The visa application (DS-160) also asks about employment.
