1.) Usually a guy age 30 to 40 who hangs around the malls or tourist hotels in Manila asking for money. The reason is him and his Philippines girlfriend got into a fight and he was put in jail, now he just got out and he's trying to get enough money for a plane ticket back home.

2.) Or this one is usually an younger American age 20 to 30 who get his Philippines girlfriend to scam guys online to send her money, Never seen it personally but have heard of it.

Me personally I rarely if ever give anyone money, I hate beggars in Philippines and it is against the law to give money to beggars in Philippines.

I will feed children or give them my left over food to eat to them.....

I came across a few beggars in Manila. A few times when I was riding the jeeps with my fiance they would climb up in the jeep when it stopped and ask for money. When it was young children by themselves I had to give them at least a few pesos. I have seen many beggars in the US but not young children like in the Philippines.

Usually a parent forcing the kids to beg, or maybe a syndicate.

It's strange that you only hate beggars in the Philippines.

Only place I see it.

Manila : Worst place ever in Philippines for beggars, A few years ago I was in Manila area for Holy Week and when I was leaving I went to the Robinson Mall and withdrew like 10,000 peso a couple times in a row so I would have pocket money for travel. There was a well dressed lady around age 30 with a child also well dressed, after I got my money she said something to me, I asked her again and she said"Sir, can you buy my child some food", now this was inside the Robinson mall and they both were dressed a lot better than me, I told her I was about to knock her in the jaws for her request, after this I figured she had seen so many successful beggars that she would try it.

Davao - I see the mountiam people (female with small children, usually a child breast feeding for visual effects) that will stand outside fast food places and ask for money, I suspect the men stay high on meth or shabu and send out the wife/kids to work at begging. If you notice all the female mountain beggars have the same physical features and facial structure, I suspect inbreeding is strong in the mountain people.

Cebu - I usually travel solo and this place is the only place I have caught a young kid with his hand in my pocket trying to pickpocket, I always get approached by 1 or 2 prostitute a few times per day asking if I need company, I never have this issue in Manila or Davao. I suspect with all the guys from Australia who go to Philippines and especially Cebu area that they think anyone how is white with a long nose is looking to buy love.

Other than that travel anywhere else especially to provinces, then never have to deal with beggars or pwok pwoks.........

The mountain people or what is referred collectively as the Lumad are the worst. I say this because they can travel using their papers on the Davao Metro Shuttle for free. So they literally go from town to town during market day, some then go from house to house playing music and collecting money. What I hate is when I go to the Market then I can see them scouting me out. Then the mother usually sends her small child over to beg for money. I even had a lady come up to me showing me a ID card wanting me to read it, the bad thing was that it was in Filipino and I couldn't read it. So I just gave her like 50 pesos and went about my day.

The ones I hate the most are usually in Manila. My asawa and I were in a taxi in Manila going to our hotel from Robinsons in Ermita. These kids came up asking for money and my wife said no. They then started some down right rude and distasteful stuff to her asking her how sex with me was. That is why we don't spend too much time in Manila before we go down to Davao.

That is very common, I have never heard kids say it, It usually adults who make snide comments to your wife in Tagolog or Bisaya or whatever area you are in, so you won't understand, I attribute this to jealousy............

Yeah I know I hate that too. That is why I made it my mission to learn more Tagalog, and especially Bisaya. Because in my wife's province of Compostela Valley the only Tagalog you will hear is on tv, everything else is either English or Bisaya, or one of Lumad languages.

Bisaya seems to be spoken the most in PHilippines and covers a lot more area. All the way from Cebu to the tip Genearal Santos and when I was in Palawan they spoke it there also.
