How do you prefer to watch dvd?

I was wondering because although I prefer to watch widescreen it doesn't bother me to watch full screen, but my hubby prefer full screen and it bothers him to watch widescreen, so we always buy full screen when possible.

I dont like watching widescreen formatted movies on a regular tv, because you have the black space above and below the screen... But I love watching TV :devil:

I buy WS always and only 'regular' when I absolutely have to have THAT movie (usually an older one, that I want for the collection). I think in the future all TVs will be Wide-Screen format, at least that's my reasoning for all the DVDs.

If you have a regular TV, I cold definitely understand not wanting to see the 'bars' and the picture is smaller because of it.

With full screen you loose much of the cinematography of the original image.

I thought widescreen gives you full picture and with fullscreen the sides are chopped.

Anyway, I prefer widescreen to see the whole picture, but it wouldn't necessarily bother me to watch fullscreen.

I prefer full screen because I don't have a very big TV, and I don't like having to squint to see everything in the widescreen versions. Kind of defeats the purpose for me. If I had a huge TV, it'd be different.
