Please anyone assist. Me and my husband are scheduled for an interview on December 3th, and at the same time we should be in different country on vacation. My husband called customer service, and being told that, if we cancel the interview, we my by denied for citizenship. Does anyone know something about this.

You can reschedule an interview. If you are able to go in person to the USCIS field office and write a letter, sign and give them that works better.

It will delay your naturalization but you shouldn't be denied for that.

At the bottom of the Interview letter is an address listed for just this type of situation. This will be the mailing address of your local field office. Just make a copy of the interview letter, and mail it in along with your explanation. In your letter, inform them of your travel dates.

Hi just curious how long did it took you to get this interview for Dec. 3? from stater till now. My husband is also Serbian that's why I 'm asking to get some estimated time, and also is he here in USA or back home.

Thank you

The critical factor is not the nationality of the applicant, but the location of the local office. It took my mother almost exactly 2 months to go from accepted application to interview, in New York City.
