My fiance and I communicate frequently using WhatsApp. Has anyone had success obtaining a K1 visa using this as a means of "proof of ongoing communication"?

If so, how exactly do you document the:

1) Chats?

2) Call logs?

CHATS: I figured out that you can email the chats to your self, and it will show the entire conversation thread on a Word Processing program like "Notepad". Is this sufficient although it's not in the original form?

CALL LOGS: As for Call Logs, are screenshots showing the date, time, duration of call, and my fiance's number sufficient?

PLEASE HELP!

I used the chatlog when I did that part of the process about a year ago.

Email the chatlog to yourself, it shows day, time, etc.

I put it in word and had roughly a 600 page document LOL

I printed every 10th page, and put a note on the front of the printout that this was every 10th page ( also showed page number on the bottom). They accepted it.

There are some other ways to get that info our of your phone, but you have to root it if it's android and get into some technical stuff to pull the data out.

Yes I did the same thing, emailed chats to myself and printed it off in the word format.

I have verizon and you can go online and print a call log of all calls made to and from that cell line. It shows time and duration.

Thanks. You were able to obtain a log of calls made with whatsapp!? How do you do that thru your phone provider?

I personally just did lots of screenshots from whatsapp, fb messenger, and emails over the years as well as printing off call logs and hi-lighting our calls. Instead of just printing off hundreds of pages haha, I suggest just showing bits and pieces over time, going as far back as you can. Also, if he has communicated at all with your family members, I got them to screen shot some snips of their conversations as well. Good luck!

So you didn’t screenshot a conversation. You printed out one whole page ?
