I'm allergic to the Nair and the other cream stuff. I break out in a horrible rash no matter how I do it.

My sister in law had her legs lasered... she loves it. I don't think it was that expensive as she had it done for an XMas present from her hubby, and they don't have a whole lot of money. *shrugs* but I don't really know.

I'd like to figure something out. My belly is getting so big with baby that it's hard to shave my legs in the shower anymore :P

But ITS PAINFUL,specially the first 2-3 times VERY PAINFUL. Here in the states i believe it cost around 50$ ;)

The Nair cream stuff doesn't work for me either. Very sensitive skin and horrible red angry rash for days afterwards. I always just shave my legs and underarms, it doesn't bother me how frequently it needs to been done.

I used to get a Bikini Wax in London for $7 around $13-14, I cant believe that they are $25 and up here!! That's crazy. I might be trying one of those home kits soon as I'm not paying that much for a bikini wax. Although my skin down there is very sensitive too and I've had bleeding after a salon wax. :(

I finally found girls like me!

I wax all by myself too  And it is less costly. At first, it is a little painful :dead: but I got used to it and became better at it after a few tries. I even do my bikini line (much better than the salon does actually: I can reach soft spots that they don't dare to reach)

Sometimes I think I know everything, and I regain consciousness. Seen it all, done it all, forgot most of it....

So much plenitude, yet so much emptiness

Read this if you're interested in Brazilian Wax girls....

A Brazilian wax removes everything in your nether regions, front and back, leaving you completely smooth everywhere under your underwear. With a Brazilian wax, you'll never have to worry about "escaping tendrils" again.

Before you commit yourself to this little endeavor, be warned that most women don't find it comfortable. You'll be having hair ripped out from the roots on your most sensitive and intimate regions. Imagine your eyebrow waxing, only three times as long and in an area ten times as sensitive.

Why, you ask, would you do this to yourself? Well, to be honest, the pain isn't all that bad, and the results are undeniable. You'll have a smooth, bump-free bikini area that looks fabulous in a bathing suit or au natural. Plus, you and your partner will probably find it incredibly erotic!

A Brazilian wax is not something you should undertake at home; it's definitely a salon procedure. You'll never be able to reach all the spots and crevices a professional can, and really, wouldn't you rather have somebody else making sure you're perfect?

Finding a Salon

The first step is to find a salon that offers a Brazilian wax option. Unfortunately, if you don't live near a major urban center, you may have a little trouble finding a salon that can help you. But the bare trend is gaining popularity, so it may just be a matter of time before you, too, can be silky smooth all over.

Once you've located a salon that performs Brazilian waxes, make sure your waxer is a professional. Ask the salon how many bikini, full or Brazilian waxes this person typically does in a week. One thing you absolutely do not want is somebody performing their first Brazilian wax on you!

Just to be safe, you may want to spend a little extra money on your first wax. A Brazilian wax can run you anywhere from $20 to $75, depending upon where you live and which salon you select. A higher-priced wax generally means a more experienced waxer, and that's a good thing.

Finally, going from hair to bare can be a jarring experience. Feel free to take it slow! Start with a standard bikini wax, which will remove the hair around your actual bikini line. Next, try a "full" bikini, which removes most of your pubic hair, leaving only a small amount of hair on your mons pubis. When you're ready, move on to the Brazilian wax. Make sure your salon uses the same definitions we're using here, though; some salons use slightly different terminology.

What to Expect

When you arrive, you'll be taken to the private waxing area, which may be a room or just a portion of the salon blocked off by curtains. You'll lie on your back on a table covered with clean paper or sheets, with your legs down or your knees up, as you would in the gynecologist's office.

Because you only need about a quarter-inch of hair for the wax to grab onto, your waxer will start by using small scissors to trim down your pubic hair to a shorter length. He or she will then wax away the "triangle" on your mons pubis.

Your waxer should use a low-temperature (or "hard") wax for the least amount of discomfort. This involves wax that's the consistency of taffy and is smoothed on over a pre-waxing oil before applying it over a patch of hair. This oil keeps it from sticking to the skin, and allows the wax to be used without strips, making for a much more comfortable experience. As the wax cools, it basically shrink-wraps each hair and pulls it out from the root, which can definitely be painful the first time, but gets less so with subsequent waxings. Most likely, your waxer will remove stray hairs with a set of tweezers.

As your waxer moves closer to the hair around and in your ####### majora, you'll have to accomplish some slight feats of balance and contortion. In order for your waxer to reach your most intimate spots, you'll need to hold your legs up, out to the side and in various other arrangements. Once I even ended up with my feet up over my head!

Depending on how zealous your waxer is, he or she may ask you to flip over to remove the hair in your, um, most nether of nether regions. If you're not comfortable with this, just say, "No, thank you." Of course, at this point, why not end up perfectly smooth?

If your waxer is good, he or she will be moving quickly, minimizing the amount of pain you experience. If your waxer isn't as gentle as you'd like, be sure to say something. When you're done, you waxer should apply soothing lotion to the area, and you should have a perfectly smooth genital region.

The Final Word

Getting a Brazilian wax is not glamorous. Don't think it will be. You'll feel a little silly and self-conscious. After all, a person you don't know is touching you in spots you don't let many people touch you, and there's hot wax involved.

The benefits to Brazilian waxing? You'll feel all clean and shiny, and you'll be slick during intercourse. The results will last anywhere from ten days to three weeks, with no maintenance, and there's no shave that can get you this smooth. In fact, that's the biggest benefit -- no more shaving!

The drawbacks? You may still experience red bumps and ingrown hairs, just like with shaving. If you have a job where you can never have stubble, like life guarding, waxing won't work for you. You have to go ten to fourteen days between wax jobs, so you'll have a period of time with stubble.

How closely you trim, shave or wax your pubic hair is a personal preference. You should do whatever makes you comfortable, whether it's an apple-smooth look or a more natural look.

For me, a Brazilian wax is the way to go. A little painful, yes, but the results are well worth it. You eventually get used to the discomfort, and once you do you'll never need to prop that leg up in the shower again. You'll be happy. Your partner will be happy. It'll be a smooth experience.
